He's a nuke reactor.........

He'll either turn into great energy.....or a really big fucking explosion.

We won't KNOW, till he decides.

lol
Well, things are fucked up.. We need someone willing to bust a few heads and make a little noise.

A "Go along to get alone" candidate is just more doom.

So.. Newt is looking pretty good from that perspective..

He shrugged it off.....

He basically (not an exact quote by any means here) said "look, we do what we can when we can, and not all our decisions are going to be perfect sadly. But we learn, and times change, and we change, I've changed. I became a grandfather, and I'm telling you that my world views have changed, I'm seeing the world through the eyes of a grandfather who is deeply devoted to his grandchildren. However, I've never backed off my core principles, and I've never sold out my beliefs."

Then he gave a smile that has greatly improved over the years.

Remember Speaker Newt's smile? It looked like a shark about to feast.......now, he smiles and it's genuine, and warm.

He's a brute. lol

One thing: Newt is constantly using the royal "we"....

Who is "we"? He does this all the time...

"We looked at such and such, and we determined such and such...", that kind of thing...

Yes he does.

And yes it smacks of 'royal'.

I'm not saying he's not a bit spooky.

I'm saying he'll fix shit, or he'll play the fiddle as it burns.

In what context? When speaking of his days as Speaker, or when speaking of his campaign?

No no.

Watch his interviews......even somewhat on the debates.

He uses the 'we' word, instead of 'I'....quite often.

His fuckups with Pelosi.....that was 'that was the dumbest thing we've done'....etc etc......

It's WE.....when most people would say "I".

Yeah I saw that interview. I developed some mad love for Newt watching it too. The guy is smart as hell.

You did a nice summary of what he said, because that's pretty much what he said. But the same balls have been lobbied at and you just know those filthy Liberals will jump all over it when he challenges the Kenyan tyrant if he gets the nod. Hopefully he'll tell them to shove off. It makes no difference to me (just like changing his stance on abortion or gays means anything to me - it doesn't), but it will come up because the media is in the tank for the Kenyan. Pushing for the individual mandate was a mistake then, it was a mistake now. And joining ranks with Nazi Pelosi on global warming is bound to piss some people off.

If he said it in the context of the Pelosi thing, "I" is correct, "we" isn't. But every candidate always starts to say "we" instead of "I" as soon as they hit the trail. That's why I asked for clarification. Maybe he's so damn intrenched in using "we" like they all do that he just can't say anything else? Don't know.

Piss who off? If Newt gets the nomination, what Conservative is gonna say, "fuckin' Newt approved of the mandate 15 years ago, now I'm voting for Obama!"......

Exactly.

The liberals aren't voting for ANYONE other than obama.
The conservatives aren't voting for anyone other than who ever is running against obama.
The so called "Independents", will vote about half and half for dem/repub.

I'm not so sure it will matter at that point.

It seems he works closely with his wife and has a staff of longtime collaborators, so maybe that is why he uses "we". Which, in that case, is pretty humble, actually.

But it does sound like a King speaking sometimes, lol..

The ONLY people you can piss off by bringing up those things are people who would NEVER vote for Obama in a million years. So, after the primaries, it's a non-issue.

It could be that.

I mean I'll be honest here.....I've ignored Newt up until 09.......and in 09, he was building up to run.

So it may just mean his 'camp'...etc etc.

Got a video link?

I can't find it.

And it's without a doubt, the BEST interview of a politician I've ever seen.

You, by your own admission, didn't vote in 2004 and 2008. I would think you would know exactly what I said. It's called doing what you did - not voting.

I agree. It was a great interview. Like I said, lots of mad love came out of watching him. I was never a huge fan, but I am now. But he sure isn't cuddly, is he?

Not sure where to find it online. Did you ttry YouTube? Do you remember the date?
