Default Retired union thugs, sue city of Portland
http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/i...ce_and_fi.html

More than 500 retired Portland police and firefighters and their spouses have brought a class action lawsuit against the city, arguing that Portland's public safety retirement fund breached their contract by trying to recoup nearly $3 million the fund mistakenly overpaid them in pension benefits.

The suit asks the court to award damages of $25,000 per retiree, as well as attorney fees. So the fund OVERPAID them by 3 million...and that was 'ok'......but when they tried to recoup the money....the thugs freaked out.

Union workers need to face rico charges.

No public union worker gives two shits about anything other than themselves.

Michael Cullivan, 65, a retired Portland police lieutenant, said the fund has started taking $150 a month from his pension. "The pension board made the mistake. We didn't..." He didn't notice the overpay....but he noticed the 150.........lulz

Union=thugs.

Simple as that.

Let me amend that JUST a little….in some circles of the lower middle class, there is a strange pathology in which underemployed under paid workers have a strange loyalty to their employers….it is like some form of Stockholm syndrome…never understood it..never will

I Understand It. Because It's What I Did.
I Worked My Ass Off, And Up.
Through Life, NOT One Company.

Jobs May Come, Jobs May Go.
But To Those That WORK, You Will Rise To Your Proper Place.

It Doesn't Matter If You Hit The Time Clock, Or Are Self-Employed
You Will Rise, Or Fall, To Your Proper Place.

Yes Ma'am, That Is A Truth.

For Those Willing To Work, The Face Of Poverty Does Not Remain The Same.
I DO Know Poverty, Miss
And Being White In A Niggerized SLUM
I Also Know International Vacations On My Own Dime.
And Suburban Home Ownership.
I've NEVER Section 8'd, Subsidised, Or Money Stamped.

And My Children Are Doing Better Than I And Their Mother.
I've Done A Good Job.

Unions are a must in any capitalist system to protect the interest of the workers. If you think it is thuggery, then you are admitting capitalism is thuggery. Because unions are just the formation of workers to protect one another legally and financially from being "TOO" intimidated, coerced, and bamboozled...

Unions are nothing more then invoking the constitutional right to freedom to assembly. Capitalists despise all human rights. It gets in the way of profits, and total control. That's why forums ban people, that's why they pass gun restrictions and make assault/murder more criminal. (Because killing one scumbag at home, earns you life in prison... but some soldier shit head, killing guys in sweat pants in the middle east by the dozens, earns him a medal, because he's an imperialist dog!) and that's why they want to dismantle unions, and use the law to either force out unions, or at least have the "right" to scare their workers into never joining unions in the first place.

I don't know about these conservative masochists, but I don't like being threatened, and screwed over, all the fucking time, and then you talk to me about the glories of capitalism...

Also, socialism is a lie. We don't have socialism... I "TRIED" applying for welfare and food stamps, along with any other program I conceivably could get my hands on. Most don't meet the qualifications, and those that do, are of no use to me. If I wanted to become a farmer though, I could probably get a cold million to start with. But don't we have "ENOUGH" high fructose corn syrup and red meat fattening our kids???

So where's all this socialism I keep hearing so much about? Government judges income by household, not by individual. So if you're unemployed, but happen to live with someone else, you're screwed. And even if you were out in the fucking street, you probably still wouldn't qualify. Oh... but it's just like communist Russia!
