The rich were and still are afraid that the poor will out number them, out vote them, bully them, and force them to pay their fair cost of government.

Aristotle and John Madison wrestle with this problem.

Aristotle's solution was to reduce inequality.

John Madison was to reduce Democracy.

What "fair cost" are you talking about?

And America was never supposed to be a Democracy. Otherwise, gays wouldn't be able to marry, blacks wouldn't be employed, etc. etc. We need to protect their rights.
