A new poll released today shows Republican Bob Turner with a 4 point lead over Democrat David Weprin in their race to replace disgraced Congressman Anthony Weiner (D-New York). In addition to the surprising lead in a district in which Democrats out number Republicans by a margin of 3 to 1, the poll also found that Mr. Turner wins the favorability contest with 37% of respondents viewing him favorably compared to just 29.8% for Mr. Weprin.

More bad news for Weprin just in:
Hikind Will Endorse Turner In NY-9 Several weeks ago extremely influential New York State lawmaker Dov Hikind, who serves with fellow Democrat David Weprin in the State Assembly, announced that he would not endorse Mr. Weprin in his race to replace disgraced Congressman Anthony Weiner (D-New York). Now with just days to go before the September 13 special election, Mr. Hikind has announced that he will endorse Mr. Weprin's opponent, Republican Bob Turner, to represent the overwhelmingly Democratic district. continued at http://www.talkingsides.com/blogs/20...turner-in-ny-9 |

Just because you've said it a dozen times, doesn't make it so. Yes, some Democrats are supporting the Republican but that doesn't make Turner any less of a Republican. If he gets to DC he'll vote for smaller government, spending cuts and lower taxes among other "Repubulican things". And the Democratic machine (Obama, Schumer, the unions, etc.) are strongly supporting Weprin so a Turner win would be a major slap to them. LIE to 'em??? Say it ain't SO!!! (I often wEndered when the Repugs would learn, and play, the 'Rats game, against 'em.) |
