Obama was inaugurated with praise I've never heard for a US President. He was a "light worker" He was "Sort of G_D" He was the world on a cracker.. and he could have been one of the most famous President's in history, and they were dying to make it happen. THEN he did the seemingly impossible, and snatched a loss from what was all but a historic win. He did it, because Joan Walsh's premise is RIGHT.. If you're going to be the party of Big Government, you need to make it work. You need to make it responsive. You need to make it efficient and you need to target it in ways that help the common guy.

Take this computer thing.. A billion dollars a year is being pilfered. Imagine what you could do to stop that if you dedicated the kind of resources to it that we're wasting feeling up cancer patients at the airport and droning on about Neo-Nazi's?

Imagine what you could do with the money wasted on the wars and your silly regulations in terms of:

Food Safety and inspection.

Stopping Cyber Crime.

Actually REFORMING Education.

Etc..

Instead, you're accentuating all the bad parts of Government.. The parts people hate. The police state. The nannyism. The cronyism and payola. The gold plated benefits and zero accountability. Big Government isn't working, and that's why you can't sell it. You guys would rather chase some skinhead around, or pedo-grope a bunch of kids at the airport, than make sure China isn't shipping us rotten food.. For crying out loud. We need a Federal government for that?
