Tue 07/26/11 07:04 AMStop letting fox and Cnn read the poll for you with refigertor journalism and read this yourself.
Only with spending cuts 20% Mostly with spending cuts 30% (that means with light tax increase) Euqally with spending cuts and tax increases 32% Mostly with tax increases 7% (that means light spending cuts) Only with tax increase 4% total only mostly is 50% for spening cuts total only mostaly with tax increses is 11% People are missing out on the fact that the majority of the U.S. citizens polled said that they want to make the spending and tax increase equal. heres a link to see the gallup poll. http://www.gallup.com/poll/148472/De...Tax-Hikes.aspx There is another poll that shows 41% of republicans want a plan with mostly spending cuts. Only 23% democrats and 28 independents Instead the democrats favor a 42 % on equallity between tax incresas and spending cuts, 30% of independents, 24% of the republicans. The majority of United States people and the Democrats are the same. |

Democrats...
THEY are the ones that had FULL CONTROL of Congress for 2 1/2 years, spending like drunk sailors. THEY spent the money, THEY ignored the debt, and just like ObaMAO said in 2006: The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that “the buck stops here.” Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better. The Democrats got us into this mess by spending 5 trillion dollars that we didn't have. Now ObaMAO wants to pretend that he cares? |

This is not about the previous administration. God DAMN it's been 2 1/2 years, Bush is GONE. This is about 2011, and the TRILLIONS ObaMAO spent, and the TRILLIONS ha added to the deficit.
This is about TODAY, and the debt ceiling that ObaMAO wants to raise, and HIS WORDS from 2006 about the debt ceiling: The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. NOW, the Repubs want to cut spending, ObaMAO wants a blank check. Sorry, your spin and deflection duly noted, DEMS will be the ones to blame if this falls through. |

I have no love for anyone in DC.
It was the Republicans which control the House that passed the Cut, Cap, and Balance Bill. It was the Democrats who control the Senate that killed the Bill. When Democrat Barry Soetoro (who threatened to veto the Cut, Cap, and Balance Bill) threatens not to pay on the debt - which he by law MUST DO - then he will be open to impeachment. The moron is clearly playing checkers on a chess board. |

First of all you can not tell me that George Bush Is not to blame for the current economy. 700,000 jobs lost in the 1st two months. Cant blame that on the president. True The Democrats did spend a bit but, that healthcare bill wouldnt have been so costly if so many republicans didnt say it's to big we can't read all this. they could have trimmed that bill down to somethin respectable. Obama was open to it. He wanted I bipartisain apporoach. The republicans just tried to kill the bill so the pres pushed it through with his majority votes. (any other president would have done the same with thier legislation). Obama is looking for the long term solution. we need to invest our money well. Of course it's not going to show this early.
