After a brief meeting with lawmakers this morning, President Barack Obama raised the nation's debt crisis conversation to a new level of ridiculous. Shortly after the meeting, the White House released a statement saying, "Congress should refrain from playing reckless political games with our economy. Instead, it should be responsible and do its job, avoiding default and cutting the deficit." Imagine how different the mood in Washington and the nation's economy would be if Mr. Obama had taken his own advice for the past two and a half years.
