Well, we've dodged the power outages so far during this heatwave. I've heard local pols advising people to cut back on power use. But haven't heard any suggestions about those Volt owners cutting back.
With our energy system being outdated for the past 30 years, how will electric car ownership effect the grid in the future?

Remotely turning off the heat and ac will become a very effective way for the government to off the elderly when nObamakare becomes a reality.
