In case you've been dead or flag tending on the moon, Paul Krugman HAS YET ANOTHER FUCKING ARTICLE about how we should just SPEND SOME MORE OF OUR GRAND KIDS FUCKING MONEY on "jobs"
There's a graph that lays it all out.. It's here: http://krugman.blogs.nytimes.com/201...licy-insanity/ (You can look at it or not, as it's just like every other article he's written for the last few years.. ) Anyway.. This is THE common thread in liberal "economics" Buying jobs.. It's everywhere. Here's another article on Political Animal/Wash Monthly, that is referenced by Salon.. http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/pol..._pri030743.php Same story.. Buy some fucking jobs. Emperor Carter II has more of the same.. "Invest" money in education/buy jobs for professors.. "Invest" money in Green "Tech" / Buy jobs. "Invest" money in infrastructure / Buy jobs for shovel learners just before the election.. He "Stimulated" the states / Buy job extensions for public union workers. Etc.. He bailed out GM to buy jobs for THEIR union workers. He did Cash for Clunkers to buy them another reprieve. Serious Question: Do you guys have ANY economic ideas that DON'T INVOLVE just taking a pile of OPM (Other People's Money) and buying jobs for people to do? TYPICALLY, till the money runs out and has to be repaid at interest? Do you? Because, if so.. I'd like to hear them.. What are they? List them below. |
