I found out today from the horse's mouth they no longer count missed apprehensions in their total data of illegal border crossings. The Border Patrol used to report all encounters and we had a better idea of the number of illegal crossings. Now they only report illegals that are apprehended. We are being lied to. I feel betrayed. That's exactly what I was thinking. All I have to do is look around me to know they are blowing sunshine up our asses when it comes to unemployment.
I lived about ten minutes from the TJ border after living most of my life in the Midwest. Border patrol agents rented the apartment directly above me for the purpose of setting up surveillance equipment. At the time I was there they didn't fool around. More than once I'd see a body covered up of a beaner they'd shot laying in the middle of Palm Ave.
As I've stated before, I know it's gotten worse since I was there. Same with Juarez. I don't know who they are trying to fool, but it sure as hell isn't anyone that lives remotely near the border.
All this propaganda would be real funny if it wasn't so pathetic.

Actually the Border Patrol are the Good Guys. They're part of Dept of Homeland Security. Don't forget, they take orders from the liberal Administration, so no matter how much Sec. Napolitano (DHS) wanted to lock down the border along with her New Mexico bud Bill Richardson, she has to take orders from Obama now. A bit more liberal about border issues than she was by herself. INS was a separate org until DHS came into existence, and the INS by itself as it's own former group needs the most policy and procedural reorganization. The administration and Fed Gov. need to decide how they're going to fix INS policies and get approval from voters, but that hasn't happened in decades. I've had attorneys telling me for just as long how messed up it is...but INS procedures and details are deep, widespread and very political, so they were never updated or fixed.
