Is the way to improve a nation and return her to greatness to turn your back on her? Deny her your loyalty if you feel that is right, myself I will be one doing the "heavy lifting" to help her get back on her feet.

My last semblance of patriotism went out the window when the majority voted for a communist nigger.

I have to say, I don't feel much of an allegiance to America 2.0.

Mainly the government and the self described "Elites"

Wouldn't fight a war to save them.. My neighbors, sure.. But if DC were invaded? Think I'd go fishing.

We are quickly turning into an oligarchy/plutocracy(?) of the very rich and the little people. It's been going on for years. The wealth disparity is getting much wider. It is already to the point of being obscene. The only thing is, the only people I hear raising alarms about this fact are non-conservatives for the most part. We're not talking a few 100's of 1000's of $'s here, we're talking 100's of millions and increasingly billions

No, I agree.. The wealth thing is reflexive for Conservatives though.. They reflexively defend anyone who is wealthy.

I'm more concerned with how they got the wealth and how they use it.

For example, Obama's guy from GE. I don't give a shit if we burn every dollar he has and shit on all their government contracts. I don't care if every GE shareholder takes a bath either.

He's trying to tax everybody and use the wealth, power and connections GE has accumulated over the years to do it.

Fuck that.. I don't care if he ends up on the street.

Now other wealthy people aren't a problem. They aren't in bed with government and earned their wealth honestly. They aren't trying to buy special access with their wealth. I have no quarrel with them at all.

My country, 'tis of thee,
Sweet land of liberty,
Of thee I sing;
Land where my fathers died,
Land of the pilgrims' pride,
From every mountainside
Let freedom ring!

AMERICANS NEED TO RE-LEARN THAT WE ARE THE ONES WHO GET THINGS DONE IN THIS COUNTRY... WE THE PEOPLE.

OUR GOVERNMENT IS (PROPERLY) JUST ONE OF MANY TOOLS THAT WE USE TO ACHIEVE OUR PERSONAL AND NATIONAL AIMS.

PERVERSELY, OUR GOVERNMENT HAS BEEN USING US, AND ILL-USING US, FOR MOST OF A CENTURY NOW, AND WE HAD BETTER TAKE BACK OUR LIBERTY AND OUR RIGHTS AND PUT GOVERNMENT BACK INTO ITS PROPER, SUBSERVIENT PLACE.

Well, the labor unions are by far the largest political contributors in this country. In fact, of the top 38 donors from 1989-2010, only 5 of them clearly favor republicans. The rest are either on the left (the vast majority) or neutral.

So you tell me, who is destroying us?

I agree completely. GE is at the forefront of "the green revolution". Unfortunately, this revolution can only take place if funded by the taxpayers, apparently...
