Just read the first sentence of this article and you know the libs feel empowered by what may become their own political deaths. The American people aren't taking this self rightious bullshit from unions who see taxpayers as open wallets.
If the Repubs do this right they will continue to push, not step back or take a single concession until the unions are on the ground crying just to get in the door. If anything, it is a test of mettle on the part of the TEA Party to see if they will stick to their guns and not back down when the going gets tough. http://www.cnn.com/2011/US/02/22/sta...ets/index.html Workers' protests swell in Midwest as budget battles continue By David Ariosto, CNNFebruary 23, 2011 5:57 a.m. EST (CNN) -- Republican lawmakers in the nation's heartland might be feeling a case of heartburn after their budget bills spawned demonstrations in at least three states over what protesters view as an attack on workers' rights. |

i say, take some tums to curd the heartburn and keep rolling with it.
backing down is for pussies. but then again........ ahem. i reiterate, if their is no money to pay into it, its gonna cost them layoffs. they HAVE TO CUT THE BUDGET. (do union workers make too much money in wisconsin? and alas, if they belong to unions and pay 'dues' shouldn't the union be paying into that health ins as well? AND IF THAT'S the case, then i see WHY the UNIONS themselves may protest. they have been and always will be some greedy bastards. UNIONS ARE BIG. if it were possible (get it?), they'd be in fortune 500.) so in essence, they are protesting paying another 6%(?) of thier OWN/families hc, hoping they drop THE BILL, and if they do, it'll cost some of thier CO-UNION WORKERS THEIR JOBS. is it an 'i don't care, as long as it isn't me' attitude? and then, wtf if it is? gonna protest that, too? states are strapped! we are going fucking broke! what part of that dont they fuckin understand? there has to be compromise. what i need to understand is...they are taking away (in this bill) their ability to 'deal'? yes? |

Showing their asses like this is not going to sit well with people who are struggling to pay their own taxes and their own bills.. I have a feeling people won't forget this by the time 2012 rolls around. They should have voted against it and worked to reverse it later. |

The protesters and union backers might be the ones feeling heartburn before this is all over. The liberal press is also trying to draw comparisons between the threatened federal govt shutdown and the one that Newt started decades ago. What they fail to understand is that we are in a totally different place. It's like people are thinking "you can't make my life any worse right now so go for it". |

No Medicare payments = Pissed off seniors. They should offer a continuing resolution to fund these things separate from the rest of the budget. Let the dem's shoot it down and take the rap when gramma can't pay the electric bill. |
