Default Republican aides hired to fight spending cuts
http://thehill.com/business-a-lobbyi...-to-fight-cuts

A stable of former GOP aides has been hired by public television stations, children’s hospitals and other interest groups that fear they’ll be targeted for spending cuts by the Republican House.

Nice to see the business as usual R ruining things. And these morons aren't even involved with politics anymore... If I were a current R in the house, I will tell them to shove it. We are not slashing spending because we want sick kids running around, its because we got to save the damn country from going completely belly up. If we don't cut at some point, there wont be an America left to fund these morons.

One of the things slated for a cut is public broadcasting. I love public broadcasting...I think it plays a major role in making sure there's actually something of value on the non-cable television (though I don't watch at any rate)...most of their funds come from supporters. They'll cope with the hit.

Just fucking do it. Cut the damn budget. The proposed cuts aren't even half of what I'd like to see done....some of it will suck, but just fucking do it, rather than send us totally down the fucking toilet.

That's the message I want Washington to see.

Or we could just pull out and reduce our military to what we need to defend the country. We won't have a huge empire to maintain and will have to start producing our own consumables again. Of course the neocons will never go for that but most of them work for the interest of foreign governments anyway.

Isn't it though?

They're out there shilling for everything from ObamaCare to Public Broadcasting. Nobody wants to get shoved away from the trough.

You know they're hiring R's to run in there with emotional appeals and maybe even past dirt.

The whole thing just makes me sick...
