Texans take their rights seriously.

A bill that has been prefiled for the 2011 state legislative session creates penalties of up to $5,000 in fines and up to five years in jail for anyone guilty of the "felony" of attempting "to enforce an act, order, law, statute, rule or regulation" of Obamacare, the president's plan that effectively nationalizes the health-care decision making process.

The plan by Texas Rep. Leo Berman, R-Tyler, effectively would nullify the federal health care legislation in his state.

Well... Texas isn't exactly the smartest state. There is no nationalization of healthcare going on. (Though that wouldn't be a bad thing...) Merely insurance companies cannot discriminate against consumers based off "pre-existing conditions". This just stops them from being less of con men.

Honestly, you right wing cooks wouldn't know what to do if we had real leftists in this country. You've had it so easy with just center right. A little regulation here and there is not socialism or communism. Maybe you should look in a mirror and realize the only "ism", is the fascism of corporations lobbying and intimidating the government, whilest the common man has to follow more laws then he has years on his life!

Interesting approach..

I suppose in a showdown, someone would file a suit and have it overturned..

THEN it becomes an enforcement issue. That could get really sticky.

I'd say go with the death penalty for all infractions.

Well, potentially there's a situation where someone is in jail over a state law the fed says is void..

That will set the stage for an epic showdown.

The Obama Regime doesn't give a flying fuck about the law. They even care less about State's sovereignty.

It's not that he doesn't care about the law, you rightwingers just refuse to admit you lost the civil war. There is no confederacy, there is no "state's rights". It's a foolish and reactionary position.
