Default GOP Will Filibuster All Bills if Taxes, Budget Not Addressed
http://www.nationaljournal.com/congr...essed-20101201

All 42 Senate Republicans have signed a letter refusing to vote for cloture on any bill before the Senate until the federal government is funded beyond this week and the Bush-era income tax cuts are addressed before they expire December 31.

“We write to inform you that we will not agree to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to any legislative item until the Senate has acted to fund the government and we have prevented the tax increase that is currently awaiting all American taxpayers,” said the letter, which was sent to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid this morning.

This is a good move, and I wonder why the democrat failure to pass a budget wasn't a bigger campaign issue?

I mean, it barely got any play at all.. But it's huge. They were literally SCARED to pass a budget... Yet they wanted to remain in power.

I think that's major political leverage to assert coming up on the midterms, but apparently the GOP leadership didn't see it that way.

Good. Time to focus on the issues that have been killing us for the last two and a half years.
The adults are back in charge.

I have to admit.. I'm still not sold on the R's leadership.

It's a gold first step, though. The dem's are tap dancing around with the dream act and all sorts of other horseshit and ignoring the real work to be done.

It's good to drag them back to it and force a debate on substance... Although I'd almost rather the incoming congress addressed it.

The Dims have set the Pubs up as the bad guys as usual. The Dims give away all the free shit, and when the Pubs shut down the gravy train it makes them look mean.
Hopefully, they have learned how to act a bit more tactfully on these issues. They need to make it clear the Dims have fucked everything up instead of being a bunch of wimps.

The Dims give away all the free shit.. Good point.. And they STILL LOST.

I mean, how incompetent are you when you're, literally, the party of "Free Shit" and you lose ANYWAY?

Hopefully that suggests we're waking up a bit.

Yeah.. I've been very proud of my fellow Americans lately.

They got TARP right.. In spite of all the lies, they just instinctively knew it was bad.

Health Care and, largely, the Stimulus..

It's the Elites who are running around acting like R-Tards.. Not Joe Six Pack.

He's kept his head about him.
