What is up with welfare of all types? I thought one of the great Republican victories of the Clinton era was forcing welfare reform and lifetime limits on welfare use?

I am meeting people at the state license branch that aren't even EMPLOYEES.. They are volunteering to keep their welfare benefits coming! Another doesn't WANT TO WORK TOO MANY HOURS, because her benefits will end, or be cut back or something. So she limits her own work hours to keep this from happening. Can you believe it?

Also, I've noticed an increasing number of fat "disabled" people. During the most notable conversation I have had to date, one of them HANDED ME A FUCKING CARD to his remodeling business. (An under the table endeavor, I'm sure.)

He's got a custom car collection too, a gigantic house with an ADT sign on it and a couple of Harley motorcycles.

Apparently so, and it needs to be ended. We who pay the taxes are being robbed to pay for these lice to have their every want met. Forced charity, which is what welfare is, is not only immoral, it is criminal. It is my hope that one day the only people who can get any sort of "assistance" from the robbery of the taxpayers by the thieving government will be aged, disabled widows who can show they have no source of income whatsoever, including family members, and then the minimum to keep them alive would be doled out to them on an individual basis per their needs. No more food-stamps; excess government cheese and other basic foods like flour, meal, powdered milk, etc. would be issued on a stringently monitored system overseen by taxpayer's representatives. Anyone attempting to abuse the system would be imprisoned for an appropriate time and a second offense would result in a much longer term. The same rules for any other type of "government" (taxpayer) assistance would apply. We have to start making it harder for the lazy, scheming parasites who have made a way-of-life from using the present system to be put out of commission for good.

Lady around here draws all sorts of shit, gets a Pell (SP?) Grant to go to COLLEGE.. And they give it to her.

Nothing wrong with her.. She gets all this assistance for the fuck of it, AND now free college too. She tries for ONCE to be prudent. She says she still has grant money left over. They freak and won't give her another grant till it's all used up!! So, she learned her lesson there..

Anyway, she gets an associates degree in computer programming... but can't get a JOB programming computers because she can't actually program computers.

She took her sociology courses.. She wrote a paper on global warming. She can't PROGRAM COMPUTERS, which is what she went to college to do.

Instead, she does data entry... but a few hours a week so she won't lose her benefits.

AND NOW she's talking about going BACK TO COLLEGE for ART!

BEAM ME UP!!!

And here's the REALLY FUNNY PART.. If she went to get a free degree in education, she could become a teacher, and get a pension and the whole bit!

Effectively ending up BETTER than the working poor, who eschew these benefits on principle.. If she was smart enough to REALLY work this thing, she could leech from the State FOR LIFE and end up better than a lot of the people who PAID for her to leech for life in the first place!

Money people 'earn', they tend to spend prudently.

Money people are 'given' with only a few strings, they tend to blow on whatever. I've seen lots of pell abuse. And, the people justify their stealing of money, by saying 'uh, i had to requalify for the grant, so it's all good'.

For some reason, in the last 15 years or so, people in general (some areas worse than others), have started feeling like they were somehow 'owed' everything, just because they are breathing.

For example::: Ms. Twentyyearoldslut says " Well, I'm a single mom trying to make it, so I need the grants, and welfare and every bit of aid i can get. It's there, it's created for people like me, so I deserve it'. She never stops and thinks 'wait, maybe i should stop being a slut, and knocked up all the time. Maybe I should lay off the bars and the parties, and instead, get a job and be productive'..... That never enters her head.

For example::: Mr. 23yearoldcollegekid says ' so what if I milk every grant i can find? I'm going to college and studying for a degree in liberal arts, i'll be filthy rich before too long' . Then, when he's unable to find employment outside of the state/federal government, he says ' we government employees should make much more, after all, I do have a degree'. He never realize that he majored in a non-productive area, and leeched the money to study from tax payers, who are still supporting him.

They have no clue. They grew up with an over inflated sense of self-worth, and went to liberal college to party and learn with other people with over inflated senses of self-worth, and taught by liberal d-bags who have masterd the art of over inflated self-worth.

They know no skill, they have no real 'talent'. They aren't really worth wasting the time to spit on. But they got a degree, and after all.......we all 'owe' them, in their mind.

The welfare leeches, IMO are just another form or version of the pell grant abusers. Neither one has a single thought about 'betterment' for themselves, or society. They just want.

I know a white male that worked all his life and in his late fifties he experienced significant health problems. Cancer being one of the problems. He was denied SSD. (I think.) He finally retained an attorney. His attorney told him that he'd have to keep appealing. The only people that were accepted right away were blacks and the really stupid, uneducated individuals.

There is a family that is friends with my mother. 4 kids, single mom, all 4 kids over the age of 20. All of them are 'bi-polar'. All draw Disability checks. None of them have ever worked. None of them ever will work.

A family of professional leeches.....and they're becoming more and more commonplace.

To be declared bi polar, it seems you have to drink lots of beer, and not work, and tell the government doctor that you have mood swings.
