Then, they just drop all pretenses and say it.. What anyone who has been paying attention has known all along:

The industry's growth has been undercut by the simple economic fact that fossil fuels remain cheaper than renewables. Both Obama administration officials and green energy executives say that the business needs not just government incentives, but also rules and regulations that force people and business to turn to renewable energy.

Without government mandates dictating how much renewable energy utilities must use to generate electricity, or placing a price on the polluting carbon emitted by fossil fuels, they say, green energy cannot begin to reach its job creation potential.

"We keep getting these stops and starts in the industry. There is no way it can work like this," said Bill Gallagher, president of Solar-Fit, a Florida energy company whose fortunes have fluctuated with government incentives in its 35 years in business. This is the problem..

Conservatives HATE attacks on "The Rich" But they deserve to be attacked.. As does what passes for "business" now days..

They aren't "real" businesses and they deserve to have their wealth stripped from them and to be cast into the street. These folks are just rent seekers. They want government to create a "demand" for their "product" (In some cases, even the "product itself!) through coercion and manipulation.

They're no better than a welfare mom, AFAIAC.. Worse, in fact. Because some poor woman can't effectively just BUY an entire, government mandated "market" for whatever nonsense "product" she decides to dream up.

Liberals rail against big business, then get in bed with them on the green shit. The rank and file have NO IDEA the untold riches they're handing to the same elites they claim to hate when they support this nonsense.

There's no answer to it either.. The interests involved are very powerful, and very wealthy. That's how they've gotten as far as they have. Rather than innovate and compete, they've learned that regulations and compliance costs serve as entry barriers and guaranteed market share for the big players who can afford them. They learned that you can buy growth with a pen stroke from DC.

This is an extortion racket. It's legalized theft.

The WORST KIND of tax increase.. Because it's by stealth, it hits the people who can least afford it the hardest. It stifles true growth and honest competition in favor of the unscrupulous and connected. It stands the market on its head and creates mountains of riches for the unscrupulous.

The only answer is one average Americans will never accept, and the truly wealthy and powerful would never permit.. A return to constitutional limits on Government.

A truly limited Federal government would be almost impossible to abuse.. And that's why it's gone forever.

No one WANTS a Constitutionally constrained government. Not the right. Not the left and CERTAINLY not the disinterested rich or those mired in poverty.

Nobody wants this..

Till that changes, we're never going to get it.
