Imagine if your government told you when you could retire....
http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/europe...kes/index.html French lawmakers approve controversial reform bill By the CNN Wire Staff October 27, 2010 11:45 a.m. EDT Paris, France (CNN) -- The lower house of the French parliament approved a controversial pension reform bill Wednesday, despite weeks of protests that brought millions of demonstrators into the streets to try to stop it. The National Assembly vote of 336 to 233, with five abstaining, was the last legislative hurdle facing the measure. French unions declared nationwide strikes to try to stop the bill, which raises the retirement age from 60 to 62, and workers and students poured out onto the streets repeatedly over the past two months to protest. |

They already controlled the age the French Retired at, they just decided to change it.
Why oh why cannot we do the same thing on Government spending, go on a Nationwide Strike until Government spending that is not paid for in the budget, will not stand. Fine Government, you think that you can do your shit WITHOUT US? We the people WILL have the final say in how we live. Here is my question, why not have Sarkozy living in a cardboard box before forcing this on the people. |

Imagine if your government told you when you could retire.... The thing that they are voting on is to raise the age when you can get your government sponsored old age pension. It is now 60. They want to raise the age to 62, because there is not enough money in the kitty to keep paying everybody who turns 60. They are having to borrow money as it is to pay the people who are already getting social security. They are borrowing the money from jews and paying interest on it. France cannot just print it's own money to pay for the pensions. France cannot print money at all. There is no french money. It is part of the eurozone now and uses the euro. Do you think that you have the freedom in your country to get a government old age pension any time you want to? I am 53. Do you suppose that I can go down to the social security office and say "I want to get my social security now" and they will say "OK, here's your check."? |
