I've always wondered about this.. I hear the left talk about it all the time.

First.. What is a "living wage" Specifically.

Obviously it would vary with the locale... Just like the cost of living differs across the country.

But if we could arrive at a number or percentage, what happens when employers are forced to pay that wage to all employees and regardless of merit?

I would expect unemployment to rise and businesses to close their doors.

How would paying someone more than they are worth accomplish anything useful?

living wage for single person is about 60k a year, and a family of five like mine it is about 170k a year.

Plus vacation, retirement, medical dental, sick leave, jury duty and all that.

Also this has to be key to real inflation as the cost of health care, real estate , and education goes up so does you wage 3 times the cost of inflation, and that will teach the fuck nuts to never raise prices huh???

also people need to be paid for commute time at time a half, and over time at 4 times pay, and weekend and holiday pay 10 times normal pay. As the pigs try to keep you form your family they have to pay for it.
