Yes, many Mexican Americans have formed political views claiming "brown pride", like the Raza Unida Party which promotes Chicano nationalism.

Then you can call the majority of the world's population "brown".

Yes, is that bad?

After olive skin colour comes brown, although brown will be in different shades such as light brown, caramel brown etc.

No, I just think brown is a term often used to denote ethnicities who fall in the middle of the spectrum of shades.

Really it would be a large category of people, however those who are not considered ' black ( African descended people) but are not ' White or olive" are often considered Brown despite their complexions. So, I think some Arabs, South Asians, North Africans, Spanish Speakers, some Islanders would be considered brown.

I've wondered who is white.

Some people say Caucasians are white, yet that would include Arabs who look brown.

Then you have some who don't think Greeks or Spaniards or Italians look completely white.

So I don't know anymore who is white and who is not white.

It just always goes back to Northern Europeans being considered pure White.

plurality maybe.

Chinese aren't brown
Most Indians are brown
Most mixed people in the Americas are brown
Many Southeast Asians are brown

But there's a lot of blacks, whites, yellows, etc... so I'm not sure it's a majority.

That's because color identification is crazy. There is no exact description for either or except for the extreme cases you know.

Both Sub-Saharan Africans. Man is a Nilote, woman is a East Bantu. One is black, one is brown. I rest my case.

They're both black.

He's blacker than she is.

(Well, they're both technically shades of brown)
