Hungarians have similar levels of arabic as spaniards : For example at DodecadK12b, the southwest-asian (peaks in Arabs) is 3-4% in spaniards and 3% in Hungarians. The two european components Atlanto-Med and Norther-European we have :

Hungarians : 75.5
Spaniards : 76.0

It's quite thight.

On genetic plots with an axis on middle-east levels, the Hungarians are infact closer to spanish :

-Antiquity to Early Middle Ages: Due to the fact that Hungarians arrived in Europe in 895, they missed 2 critical periods in European history: the Roman empire and the Germanic invasions.
-High Middle Ages (10-15 century): Spaniards spent much of this period fighting the muslims of Al-Andalus. The Kingdom of Hungary was one of the most powerful states in Europe.
Modern ages: Spain participated in many wars during this period up until the Napoleonic period. After that the only major war it participated in was its own civil war. Hungary was engaged in fighting the ottoman empire during this time period up until the union with Austria; it then went on to participate in both World Wars at the side of the Germans.

Verdict:
-Hungarians are whiter than Spaniards based on phenotype.
-Spain was throught its early and middle history isolated from the rest of europe and enganged in fighting muslims in the iberian peninsula. It was only after the fall of Al-Andalus that Spain began participating in contemporary european history and politics. Hungary has been since its formation more involved in mainstream european history.
You forgot about this:

Well, North Euro component is obviously "whiter" than Med one and overall Hungarians should be a little bit "whiter" (cause Spaniards despite having quite a lot of North Euro blood are more Medish than Hungarians).

In any case, i didn't know that Hungary had been a more important player in European history than Spain, but i guess you learn something new every day.

This guy looks Kazakh, his phenotype is similar to Rakhat Aliyev
Bien sur! That's a very representative Kazakh you have got here. I can further tell you that all North-Western Euros are also non-White cause they look like this Georgian lady:

Largest maybe, but not most powerful, at least certainly not after the 1600s.

I might vote in this poll, but it would be just for shits and giggles. This is a silly thread...

I would say it's impossible to say because people populated Europe from 2 different directions. People repopulating from Ukraine/Russia, and the other Mediterranean - perhaps Italy/Spain.

Other than having a darker than average complexion that Raul Gonzalez guy has typical western features, even the big nose.

If I had to choose, probably go with Spaniards, perhaps a little bias on my part. Though, in this definition I would say "native European", rather than white, as blonde hair probably came into Europe from the east.

Anyone doubting this, the Atlantic facing countries had the most powerful empires and owned colonies (within Europe in modern history). Spain, Portugal, France, UK, Netherlands. Not only is this historical fact, but common sense as well. Germany, Hungary, Central Europe..etc had no colonies and were highly disadvantaged position wise, and had no real navy.

Seems like some people have too much pride and are trying to rewrite history as it suits them.

Well, within Europe, as both Hungary and Austro-Hungarian Empire, they probably were. Spaniards were definitely much more influential worldwide.

Basically what Kwestos said. I guess part of the reason why people have strange ideas about Iberians is that they did not participate that actively in intra-Euro affairs (the same goes for Russians). So they have this "foreign" fleur of sorts.

Both with and against Austrians. Hungarians were a very important part of Habsburg empire even before Austria became Austro-Hungary. I won't even mention their arrival to Europe and fight against Turks.

Figth against Turks ? The Battle of Lepanto was won thanks mostly to spanish. Let's be honest: Spain has always had a dominant role in the history of Europe, while Hungary has been mostly a 'quite' country. Spain is in the group of the big guys : France, UK, Netherlands..

I've seen some pretty fair-skinned Spaniards but they have a tendency to tan easily/quickly and this makes them look darker than they really are.

Well, Lepanto was important but for majority of Euros this event has greater significance:

When you talk about these "big" guys what is the time frame you are referring to? Spain has not been a major country (by which I mean the really big powers like UK, France, Russia etc.) for hundreds of years now and neither have the Netherlands (and Hungary), obviously.
