UK, the concept of race there looks to be very shaped between people's mindset.

Considering it's one of the most multicultural countries in Europe, I highly doubt there is a deep set racism there. Prehaps discontent over liberal immigration policies. Hell, most English people can't decide whether they're British or English - hardly a deep set concept of race. Also, the UK has the highest rate of inter-racial marriage in Europe.

One has to be racist themselves to call someone else racist. Racism is a subjective term, where I might believe a person to be a racist they may very well not be based upon someone else’s criteria. It is to easy to point fingers at any one or group and single them.

Define racism, OP.

Define racism, OP.
I suppose the main prerequisite for racism is that the nation in question has a deep set concept of race linked to nationality, and that people feel that this race is superior to all groups, or prehaps superior only to certain groups. Having a concept of race in itself doesn't equal racism, racism is when superiority of race/genetics becomes involved.

I'm not surprised then because I heard someone mention that it's racist and plus from what I seen of forums which have Poles on it they seem to always slag off blacks for example.

Me myself notice that intermarriage is definitely the highest in this country heck even British will at any chance will turn a leaf buy changing their religion just to get somewhere with who they like.

What do you mean by racism, exactly? Is it a deep-rooted belief in your people's intrinsic superiority or is it hostile actions and attitudes towards those of other races? Certain countries in NW Europe would be very racist according to the first definition and not racist at all going by the second criterium.

According to the dictionary: "Racism is the belief that the genetic factors which constitute race are a primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race"

That is a stupid definition since one can be racist without believing in the absolute superiority of any race. For instance I'm racist and I think whites have a superior culture but are not absolutely superior, in every way, to all other races. Here is the politically incorrect definition of racism :

"Racism: The desire to live, work, marry and mingle with one's own kind: A nearly-universal desire and virtual law of nature, often expressed as 'Birds of a feather flock together', and denied only by liberals who live and work in areas much too expensive to have any more than a token number of minorities. Racism is so ingrained and universal that it is reflected not once but twice in our language: The word kind (type) and kind (nice) have the same origin, as does the word like (similar) and like (appreciate), from which we infer that we like those whom we are like, and we are kind to those of our own kind. "--- John Bryant

Considering it's one of the most multicultural countries in Europe, I highly doubt there is a deep set racism there. Prehaps discontent over liberal immigration policies. Hell, most English people can't decide whether they're British or English - hardly a deep set concept of race.
Since the act of the Union between Scotland and England (that created Great Britain) there ideally should only be a North Briton and South Briton identity, no ?

It's the definition of Merriam Webster Dictionary. Of course everybody uses the words differently.

Anyway, that definition also says you're racist if, for example, you say: "All mestizos are stupid" "all asians are smart" "all whites are pussy", since it says "the belief that the genetic factors which constitute race are a primary determinant of human traits and capacities "

Racism is about supremacism of one race over another with a collective mindset. Incidents of nativism or xenophobism in some Eastern European nations - has nothing to do with racism at all.

So if I said 'Asians tend to be lactose-intolerant' or 'whites tend to be hairy', would that be racist? Race, or rather ethnicity, simply does determine a host of human traits and capacities.

According to that definition, yes it would.

Interesting. So Russian skinheads who kill Asians because they are Asians and black South Africans who kill whites because they are whites are not racist simply because they do not necessarily believe in the superiority of their own group, but some Swedish pussy who secretly looks down on non-whites would be a racist.

Has no one mentioned Russia yet...? Not that I've been there personally but...not someplace I can see myself visiting anytime soon.

According to that definition, yes it would.
And doesn't this mean the term is devoid of all meaning? For instance, I am pretty sure that race is a statistically sound way to predict the approximate level of pigmentation a person will have.

I found this other definition of another dictionary: "The prejudice that members of one race are intrinsically superior to members of other races".

In no case, Sweden isn't a supremacist state as far as I know. And the Russian and the african incident are just isolated cases of xenophobic brutality.

That definition is stupid too. The reason why the definitions you choose suck is that they state outright or strongly imply one has to believe in absolute superiority to be a racist. This is a good definition (from dictionary.com) :

"a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others. "

See ? the usually part shows that one doesn't have to believe in absolute superiority, unlike your quotes, to be a racist, so by that definition I am a racist.
