It depends.
If someone has solved his financial issues and does not need to work,i would say he should establish a base in the Greek islands. The Ionian is full of British... Greece is not good if you would like to live in a big city though. Athens is totally destructed due to bad policies after WWII and the Civil War. |

it depends, I would say:
highest standard of living for rich people: around the Mediterranean Sea highest standard of living for poor people: probably Scandinavia highest standard of living for middle class people: err, probably Alpine region (Northern Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Central France, Southern Germany) |
