I watched the video and when I was young, I didn't really think of race. I didn't really have any observations until I was a teenager.

As for hanging around with kids of other races, I was allowed, and my parents would beat my ass if I said something racist or didn't want to hang around with someone if they were black. My mother wouldn't approve of me dating a black person, though, I admit that. My father wouldn't have cared.

I just joined.

My parents were a lot like yours. Pretty much think though that if I had come home with a black dude, my father would not have been too thrilled, though.

My mom would have been okay with it....I think lol
