Then again, what % of the population is blonde? How often do you see indo-mestizo or indigenous models or actors relative to the percentage of the population they make up? One would think Mexicans look like Alteños on average going solely by telenovelas. Pred. European people, dark or light and fully white or not, are overrepresented in the media. Alteños on average look like any other northern mexican, nothing special about them at all. They are not like the ones from Chipilo, Puebla, who on average are blonde with light eyes and not mixed. Tenochkatl, indigenous women are not into modeling and showing skin, their parents would never allow her to be a model because to them a woman's place is at home and being a traditional woman. The mexican model industry doesnt discriminate against features nor background, heck we even have a couple of Afro-mexican models, and if they have gotten a chance then so can indio-mestizos, which mexico has already. Like paola posted, in the real world in Mexico, they perfer those type of girls Pao posted not blondes. |

you may not see many blondes on Mexican TV, but you also don't see as many Mestizos, it's funny you know only like the small shows and some shows on Galavision show mestizos, where that one that has the local performers on, and stuff like that, but any major show or novela never has mestizos in it. dont make it seem as we are the rarest thing in Mexico, we as blondes are not. We are not gingers, we are blondes, gingers are very rare in Mexico, we as blondes are not. |

I have mentioned that in a post. I can post manyyy blondes. Dozens upon dozens right now not even upper class. I'm not saying we're a big significant number in Mexico, but definitely not as rare as people make it to be. They may also vary in features, racial makeup, class, etc.

The link display mostly bleached brunettes.  I then accepted it. This is light brown  My nephew has light brown hair  I asked people in the forum if this was dirty blonde in relation to another person's hair color.  They said yes. This is my hair: Me next to my blonde cousin  Me again  Again  About a year ago on a washed out webcam making me look pale while chatting with a friend  As a kid:  Obviously lighting has an effect on how it looks and because it is "dirty" it has different shades altogether. Naturally, in the dark, in the light, indoors, outdoors, my hair is considered dirty blonde in Mexico/USA. Maybe not in your country, but everywhere in North America that I've been, that is what they have considered it and nothing else. Aside from me, nobody has ever called it brown. This post is in relation to Mexico so it applies. stupid because media is US dominates, and most blondes in the US (and anglosphere for this matter) are dyed blondes. There are in fact 100 fake blondes in hollywood every a single natural, unless you have a very wide definition and consider blond even people with medium brown hair, as it happens in some areas of the world. As for eye color there are contact lenses available everywhere and if you are not of central/northern euro descent chances are more likely you will be a brown/dark eyed person. |
