Default Nigerian diversity phenotypes
SOME STEREOTYPES IN NIGERIA WITH PICS.

NIGERIA

HAUSA, Tall Dark Lanky Sunken in eyes

IGBO darker medium brown, to light brown skin, round faces, with a slight gonzo nose thing going on

Yoruba, almond shaped eyes, dark brown skin, more rigid features

In the Americas these phenotypes are far more meshed in NIgeria Not so much. I can often spot a Yoruba and a Hausa and Igbo fairly easily, kinda like spotting an Eritrean family in an American mall

Its very likely Those are beautiful Eyes to have. The Igbo are the most median and in a way more plain plain overall South eastern Nigeria Looks most like typical African Americans They often have lighter skin as well my Nigerian is south eastern btw. Whenever A nigerian has median features with no real distinctiveness and lighter skin I assume they are Igbo

Actually…. not really I didn't grow up with other Nigerians. My household is very Nigerian as well, but MY Naijaness comes from my talks with my mother (half Nigerian/Sierra leonean) and mainly my own research. All of my close friends are West Indian Filipino, or African American, or White American.

Are you also part Dominican (I'm going by your username)? Interesting Mix.

What Nigerian ethnicity do you descend from, if you don't mind my asking?

The phrase - "Come inside the house, rain is falling"

I think your Naija ethnicity comes from Delta State region, right? My cousins are partly from the region (Delta Igbos).

Anioma. but we are Enuani not Igbo. Our region was never part of Biafra And our Language isn't the same, and our Traditions and food differs as well as heritage, My mom understands some colloquial Beni because of her language and some other tongues as well, its really jumbled up. But I love My Igbos though I definitely have more distant ancestry from there too. on at least my father's side Dominicans are significantly of Igbo descent I believe.

Yeah Delta is one of the more Heterogenous states in the country.

My cousins' place is situated towards the border Anioma towns (towards Anambra/Onitsha, which is Igbo land).

Yea my mom knows these towns she says those border towns have Igbos where it starts to cross a bit.

Well Nigeria is the most ethnically diverse country in Africa, there is tons of heterogeneity
