The most consumer and first consumer in the world of product for bleach hair to blond, is Sweden . Yes, it's true .

...

I think that problem is mostly in US and Canada, because in Europe girls tend to color their hair to brunette and redhair .

Blonde hair with roots showing, and obvious ddarker eyebrows can be a fashion statement. Think of Madonna back in the late 80s, starting a trend with it.
There is something quite gritty or even in some cases punk about it. It's a sort of sexy debasement/decadence.

I am not fond of it, personally, though.

I personally think red hair looks a lot better on most brunettes than blonde hair does so if you want a change then try red first.
I associate red hair with pale skin. Brunettes tend to have darker skin than blonds and especially red heads. I think that natural blonds tend to look better with red hair than natural brunettes. Christina Hendricks is a natural blond but the red hair fits her very naturally because she's fair skinned.

Some natural brunette's can look good as a blonde, or even better, but it is rare. Celebrity examples: Shakira (which surprises me since her natural hair color is practically black) and Britney Spears (medium brown-chocolate brown naturally).

I believe it really depends on your skin tone as well. I know some girls (brunettes) that even if they dyed their hair a couple of shades lighter (within the brunette range) that it wouldn't look good either, so it really depends on your coloring and features imo.

I've dyed my hair a lot of shades, from black (too harsh, makes me look tanned), to reddish bown, to dark blonde (it made me look pale), but I'd still like to try red, or preferably chocolate brown with low lights =) I think that would suite me best.

I have done it, and right now I'm rocking blonde highlights. I change my hair color because I get bored, simple as that. I'll say that I've been every color in the hair rainbow and I get the most attention when I'm a blonde, although I think darker looks better on me.

Nope . I don't say that , it's the true , I had a summer job two years ago in L'oreal laboratory , and sweden was the first to want blond hair product . I think the half of swedish girls have dark blond hair, or light brown hair , you know that hair color without light . They color their hair for they looks more natural .

They are a trend in sweden too, among girls who is name "Idomin" , google it, its to have the most blond hair .

Read that :
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...9194637AAXkHFZ

Good quotes :
People in Sweden dye their hair this color a lot. At least half of Sweden is genetically brunettes. But they always dye it. I've seen photo's of girls with the fakest blonde hair A LOT.

P.S. Do not go on about all swedes being all blonde. If you do you shall be blocked and your answer deleted. The girls that colour their hair fakeblonde are following a style that is very popular among swedish teenagers at the moment (it's also very hated) called "fjortis". The style includes being as bleached blonde as possible (or have very fake brown hair), having fake tan skin, wear lightly pink or white lipstick (or an ointment normally used for diaperrash called "Idomin"), pushupbras and being generally stupid and slutty - simply anything that looks fake and stupid. If you google images of Idomin or fjortis you will see how a lot of girls look like here. Also, the girl behind one of Swedens most popular blogs is a "fjortis", you can find her blog at www.kissies.se - but she is an extremecase. It's tragic really.

But I live in Sweden, and I haven't noticed that there are more blondes than brunettes - I'd say there are more brunettes. However, the "fjortisstyle" is slowly dying and I'd say it's more popular in the bigger cities, like Stockholm and Gothenburg.

But famous, swedish blondes, like Victoria Silvstedt are colouring their hair blonde to live up to the ideal that foreigners have of swedes.

I'm swedish.

Few people look good with blonde hair. I think blonde hair look good with pale skinned and/or blue eyed women.
Black hair looks good on almost everyone.
