Blonde hair with roots showing, and obvious ddarker eyebrows can be a fashion statement. Think of Madonna back in the late 80s, starting a trend with it.
There is something quite gritty or even in some cases punk about it. It's a sort of sexy debasement/decadence. I am not fond of it, personally, though. |

I personally think red hair looks a lot better on most brunettes than blonde hair does so if you want a change then try red first. |

Some natural brunette's can look good as a blonde, or even better, but it is rare. Celebrity examples: Shakira (which surprises me since her natural hair color is practically black) and Britney Spears (medium brown-chocolate brown naturally).
I believe it really depends on your skin tone as well. I know some girls (brunettes) that even if they dyed their hair a couple of shades lighter (within the brunette range) that it wouldn't look good either, so it really depends on your coloring and features imo. I've dyed my hair a lot of shades, from black (too harsh, makes me look tanned), to reddish bown, to dark blonde (it made me look pale), but I'd still like to try red, or preferably chocolate brown with low lights =) I think that would suite me best. |

so you are saying swedish girls hair bleach their hair They are a trend in sweden too, among girls who is name "Idomin" , google it, its to have the most blond hair . Read that : http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...9194637AAXkHFZ Good quotes : People in Sweden dye their hair this color a lot. At least half of Sweden is genetically brunettes. But they always dye it. I've seen photo's of girls with the fakest blonde hair A LOT. P.S. Do not go on about all swedes being all blonde. If you do you shall be blocked and your answer deleted. The girls that colour their hair fakeblonde are following a style that is very popular among swedish teenagers at the moment (it's also very hated) called "fjortis". The style includes being as bleached blonde as possible (or have very fake brown hair), having fake tan skin, wear lightly pink or white lipstick (or an ointment normally used for diaperrash called "Idomin"), pushupbras and being generally stupid and slutty - simply anything that looks fake and stupid. If you google images of Idomin or fjortis you will see how a lot of girls look like here. Also, the girl behind one of Swedens most popular blogs is a "fjortis", you can find her blog at www.kissies.se - but she is an extremecase. It's tragic really. But I live in Sweden, and I haven't noticed that there are more blondes than brunettes - I'd say there are more brunettes. However, the "fjortisstyle" is slowly dying and I'd say it's more popular in the bigger cities, like Stockholm and Gothenburg. But famous, swedish blondes, like Victoria Silvstedt are colouring their hair blonde to live up to the ideal that foreigners have of swedes. Source(s): I'm swedish. |
