I don't believe in generalizations, and South Sudan is not Haiti.

Adapt to it or they can go back to the Middle East.

I don't know that there was a point in creating a new thread. I propose the mods merge this one with mine.

South Sudan will not be a part of the League of Arab States (meaning they'll receive no funding and likely no investment from any of its former sister nations―though really, south Sudan never did, the Khartoum gov't were the likely beneficiaries).

A new country yes, but a probable new failed state too.
This is exactly what I said in my other thread. But it will have likely ramifications on both Sudans. Unfortunately.

I don't believe in generalizations, and South Sudan is not Haiti.
No it's in a worse state. Haiti upon gaining independence was economically and structurally sound. Unfortunately, an embargo (enforced by France), years of debt restitution (to France), deforestation (which has resulted in hefty GDP loss), and improper use of national revenue has turned it into the shithole it is today.

Adapt to it or they can go back to the Middle East.
Wtf are you talking about?

allow laziness in their culture

Just hoping for them that they won't finish like Uganda, it would be shameful.
However what would the official(s) language(s), please don't tell me that is only English , how about Dinka Nuer and Juba's creole ?

Suppose there are those bad apples laying around but hopefully one day, may they be swept up and cleaned. South Sudan is a shithole by the way, and every month hundreds and hundreds of them pour into North Turkana where my family lives, they setup camps and all before stealing cattle from various villages before returning back to South Sudan. 'Cow boys' they call them. Trust me, i have seen it

Yeah its only English for now. African Culture is declining rapidly and with that its being replaced by Black Culture, the worse of all cultures

http://listverse.com/2011/07/10/top-10-failing-nations/ Sudan is currently the largest state in Africa, but that honor will go soon to Algeria, because after a civil war, South Sudan voted to secede from Sudan. Sudan is ruled by one of the worst dictators, genocidal Omar al-Bashir – well known for owning slaves. Fighting continues between Sudan and South Sudan, as they cannot agree on a border and both want the oil rich region of Abyei. Things look bleak for South Sudan, which has a budget of only 2.3 Million and is predicted to become a failed state itself.

south sudan = 51st American state, + the new oil supply for USA! Woot!!

you can thank George Clooney for this one! This was a 100% american operation.

All the northern Sudanese owned the oil in the south and were in power, then USA comes and takes control of the poor and uneducated south.

South Sudan seems ready to have a laissez-faire government that is friendly to business. If that business climate continues, I could easily see them becoming a (very) regional hub of commerce. Already, Juba has seen an explosion of foreign entrepreneurs from Kenya, Ethiopia, and Uganda looking to meet unfulfilled demand.
