The most important part of net worth is the land that you own, most of these people don't own houses so their net worth is low because all they have is their cars.

Right now it's really hard for a poor person to buy a home because banks only give loans to rich people, so it's a bit hard to move up in society, not just through work, but through land ownership.

Well said, Dave.

The last time blacks played a significant role in the ownership society was when it was themselves who were being owned.

It doesn't help that minorities are far more likely to be making money off the books and therefore not having their income recognized.

I am surprised that blacks are that poor. Hispanics- its not strange, mentioned illegal or new immigration, but blacks? With no savings, you are practically owned. Live on the street or take any job available (no assets, no negotiating power).
