Default In what countries would an Indian person "fit right in" with the population?
In terms of looks and stuff.

So far I am guessing Pakistan lol, anyone else have more ideas?

The vast majority of Indians are far too distinct to fit in anywhere else but India. This is what makes Indians a unique people phenotypically.

But some individuals among the geographically extreme ethnics/ethno-linguistics could fit in elsewhere.

Some Tamils can pass as Oceanians and Horn Africans;, some Bengalis have a semblance to South East Asians, especially Malays and Thais.

The Seven Sister states populace could pass anywhere in the Southern fringes of East Asia; some Kashmiris could pass as Caucasians or even European.

There are quite a few Paharis in Himachal Pradesh and the surrounding mountainous areas who tend to have a Dinarimorphic caste to their looks, and could pass as border-line variants in Eastern Europe and the Caucasus.

Finally, there are some Punjabis who do bear an appreciable resemblance to Pashtuns and Iranians.

Please note the constant usage of the word some.

P.S - Jgamibi, save us the crap and don't make this thread another "everybody hates Indians abroad LOLzz boo hoo" crap-fest, because as far as I'm concerned, you over-exaggerate the situation of Indians abroad.

Anyways if Indians are so unique, then why is it so many of my friends from other backgrounds tell me I would fit right in with the people in their country?

I've noticed that you constantly post that picture claiming it's you. You can't blame people for beginning to get suspicious, not only because of your reputation as a poster here. Take a picture of yourself on your web-cam or regular digital camera, holding up a paper saying -
"Hi ABF, this is Jgamibi!"

..and redeem yourself.

indians pretty much have the most diverse native phenotype of any people on earth. many north indians could easily pass as italians, others could pass as middle eastern people such as iranians. some other groups could easily pass as south american latinos/mestizos. in eastern india some of them look like south east asians but i thinkt hat is because of mixing with tibeto-burman people in the past.
some other indians in the south look like mullatos but with straight/wavy hair.

Tamils are pretty distinct, they look like very dark cacuasoids. majority of them have the same facial features as white people.

I think many Indians could walk around in the DR and noone would think twice about them (assuming they dressed and acted like locals)

Many Indians could fit in in white-majority countries no problem. This morning, I actually ran into this guy who was Indian, but one would have never thought he was until he spoke. He looked like a dark-complected white dude.
