Default Emigrants: Do you feel weird when talking about politics in a host country??
Emigrants: Do you feel weird when talking about politics in a host country??

Please tell me what are your experiences in a new nation when it comes to talk about politics. Do you feel ok or weird? Do you think other people (native of that place) will upset about it? Do people upset about it?

I feel complete weird actually i self discriminate myself when my friends talk about politics and i leave the place. It is hard because i think so many things and have many opinions but i try to not express myself (i find it really hard to do).

You're an emigrant? I thought you were going to school in Argieland.

No. When I lived in Italy, I felt at home. I only got uncomfortable when the topic of American politics came up, because Bush was still President and I intended to vote Republican in the coming election.

But my support for FI/PdL wasn't something I was afraid to talk about.
