You pretty much have to use metric in any kind of science. It's the single unit that makes it much easier. All the formulas are based on the metric system.
There are certian measurements where the inch is still used, such as water pipes, where the inch is used even in Europe. Also, in woodwork inches are still used. The problem with a total conversion is the tooling equipment, which is based on inches. I's actualy very expensive to go from imperial to metric, unless some exceptions are made. |
