The BNP will never enter parliament, not only because they are perceived as racist, but because their socialist economic policies do not appeal to middle class voters. They are viewed as the party of no-hopers, only voted for by the lowest 2% of society.

On the contrary, the Front National and the Dutch Freedom Party have managed to shake off their perception of being the party of low society and with more right-wing economic policies have managed to appeal to the middle classes as well as the working class.

The truth is the BNP are a directionless, poorly run party with people who have absolutely no idea of how to appeal to the general public. Jean-Marie Le Pen and Geert Wilders are far better politicians who know how to appeal to people.

I can see why Indians and Afro-Carribean types would want to move to the UK, but I've never understood the appeal over the UK over other European countries to people totally unrelated to this country.

The Latin American population of the UK is actually about the same as Spain, we both have 1,000,000 each. I have also seen a Mexican restaurant in a small town in North West, Welsh-speaking Wales.

Despite being a cold dark damp country, we seem to have an amazing ability to attract all sorts of immigrants. Not to be arrogant, but I think it proves that the UK does have a world-wide reputation of being a fairly easy going, accepting place.
