SA brought back the credit law, or whatever it is called , a few years ago, meaning people are not allowed to borrow money beyond their incomes.

I recall the days when we bought our first house, we had to put down 25% in cash as a deposit and our monthly payment towards the mortgage was not to be more than 25% of the main bread winner's income, that changed a few years later to include the income of both husband and wife.

SA has also been hit by the credit crunch, but I honestly think not as badly as the UK, the main problem in SA is unemployment, caused mainly by all the illegals living there..... sounds a bit like the UK, does it not?

No wonder crime is increasing everywhere, people are in need and crime seems to pay sometimes...
