Mean Northern Italian IQ up to 14 points higher than Southern Italian IQ
Abstract: Regional differences in IQ are presented for 12 regions of Italy showing that IQs are highest in the north and lowest in the south. Regional IQs obtained in 2006 are highly correlated with average incomes at r=0.937, and with stature, infant mortality, literacy and education. The lower IQ in southern Italy may be attributable to genetic admixture with populations from the Near East and North Africa.

I figured I would post this. I think this shows rather well that Genetics are at play.
Since Southern Italians are more mixed than Northern Italians.

Even though Southern Italians live more like Northern Italians than they live like people in North Africa & the Near & Middle East.

Southern Italians have an iq closer to people in North Africa, the Near East & Middle East than they do to Northern Italians.

Sicily & Calabria tested a 89 iq.

Turkey tested a 90 iq
Iraq tested a 87 iq
Jordan tested a 87 iq
Lebanon tested a 86 iq
Morrocco tested a 85 iq.
Algeria tested a 84 iq
Tunisia tested a 84 iq
Saudi Arabia tested a 83 iq
Egypt tested a 83 iq

While Sicily & Calabria have an iq 14 points than parts of Northern Italy like Friuli-Venezia which tested a 103 iq.

The biggest difference in Local Mediterranean. stock between Sicily & Egypt / Saudia Arabia was just 6 points lower.

So, Southern Italians score iq test scores closer to Middle Easterners, North Africans ect.

Even the Heirachy of the Iq in the Middle east show that wealth & the Human developement index is irrelevent.

As Iraq has an iq 4 points higher than the much better off Saudi Arabia.

I do think that there is a difference in intelligence between the North and the South+Sardinia, but not that high. A difference of 4-5 points is more realistical IMHO.

LOL, that is the rubbish realised by a charlatan called Richard Lynn, an incompetent sociologist, that wouldn't find any kind of visibility by the medias if he didn't realise such controversial researches.

those datas are not IQ results, but they are based on the PISA TESTS by the Programme for International Student Assessment, they calculate the level of knowledge of students in different subjects, like reading and mathematics, not the IQ, that is a completely different thing.
Better quality of teaching is equal to higher knowledge in the school subjects.
