Default The difference between mestizos and indio-mestizos?
At what percentage is the cut-off? Some pictures of mestizos and indio mestizos?

Mestizos are supposed to be balanced and indo-mestizos are predominantly Amerindian
I guess another user can post the percentage cut-off but I mostly go by phenotype

I can't tell the difference sometimes. Garcia49 is a good example. just look at him phenotype wise. the dude looks pred amerindian yet he scored close to 50/50 genetically.

^You can't be really sure until they get themselves tested on a autosomal DNA test if they really are those phenotypes.

I'm going by pheno only. Percentages are very unpredictable when it come to mixed people.

An Indo mestizo is 1/4 spanish/euro and 3/4 native. What was known in colony times (and still to these days in Peru) as Cholo.

mexico is very indigenous, yes there is some european (spanish blood) but the average masses in mexico look really distinctively indigenous

this whole indo-mestizo, euro-mestizo rubbish is nothing but an attempt of some eurocentric mexicans to whiten mexico a bit!

you do find white people in mexico, but they're a minority, the average mexican mestizo is rather indigenous looking!
Oh Irene, always talking out of your behind

Both phenos are common and most Mexicans regardless identify as mestizo
love i am honest, you're mexican and judging by your pic you're sort of caucasian, but you're a minority in mexico

even the average mexican mestizo often looks very different from a spaniard

Why would a mestizo look like a Spaniard? Who has claimed that? And hellz nah, I'm not "sort of Caucasian." I'm very mixed and fit much better into the range of mestizos genetically than I ever would European So nope, I'm not that much of a minority at all and you failed to ignorantly assume that.

Maybe you're "honest" to your standards but you're very ignorant and you speak based on it with confidence as if it were true, love.
