Respect to the elders is shown in everyday care and consideration that a native Thai accepts as the norm, so would not consider to be anything special.
I come from the England and never cease to be amazed at the respect and care I am shown by the family, my being considered as the elder.
Even those unrelated call me Khun Po, and that is respect!
It is, as I said, part of their everyday life, being built into the culture and should be something they are proud of. I just hope it is never lost in the country's rush to modernise or westernise!

In my openion; The oldest in thai family should be most respected.

How is that respect shown?
Do you know one of thai tredition called "Rod Num Dum Hau" (ô¹éÓ´ÓËÑÇ)?
This tredition doing in Songkran day to give the respect to the oldest in family.
And that is my answer
