Could someone advise me of the distance between Puket and Bankok. Iam flying in to one and then out of the other. Can you catch a bus or trnport between the two or is there only flights. Ketut.

It is about 865 kilometres. You can travel from Phuket by coach to Surat Thani and then get a train to Bangkok, or go by coach the whole way.

how about the full night? most people seem to be doing that.

the bus ride takes 13-14 hours or so. make sure you get a 1st class or VIP ticket, 2nd class is miserably uncomfortable for such a long time.

Yeah, nothing like taking a full day out of your trip to sit in a bus. If you speak Thai, you might meet some interesting people along the way. If not, you will be bored to tears within hours.
