Some people will find tattoos offensive no matter where they are placed, or what they depict. Tattoos are not everyone's cup of tea, in particular, since in the past, they were often associated with criminals, people in the navy and wannabe gangsters.

I will soon be in Thailand and am worried that my tattoo of a Japanese Buddha will offend people. What do you think?

Depends on which part of your body did you get the image tattoo on. Anywhere above the chest level should be fine.
