Dear Friends on the Forum,
I was inspired by the great sons of India into doing some research about the history of American Brain Drain. I am a son of India as most of you know. I am trying to climb the ladder to greatness. I may be too late and never reach the top but I am sure you will realize how hard I am trying. Wikipedia’s explanation of Brain drain. Human capital flight, more commonly referred to as "brain drain", is the large-scale emigration of a large group of individuals. You may be interested in knowing how the United States of A spread their Brains into the entire world. After Martin Luther King Jr had his dream all those Americans against him sat at their computers and started hitting Escape(key) but found they were still there. As usual the US policy makers came to their rescue to help them (Escape) out of the US. They opened embassies and consulates in many towns in every country and sent their Brains as Diplomats. But they saw to it that some of the more radical thinking Brains were not sent to Iran, Cuba, North Korea or China. The obvious reason was that one day they wanted their Brains back. Did you know that this week 9 out 10 people suffered diarrhea at the US consulate in Chennai and the only one (the 10th) who enjoyed it (diarrhea), had taken a 72-hour train ride from New Delhi to Orissa? That's really long time to enjoy something. Rajpriya, reports from Germany |
