Hahahaha. Let's just hope that France doesn't have that 3-day late fireworks party that I heard around here...Let's not forget the drunken stupor that my cul-de-sac was in for the following morning. Take it from me! Hungover neighbors are easy to take advantage of and can lead you to a quick buck or two! Anyway, Happy Bastille Day, to all o' ya.

I'm not exactly a history buff, so how old is France now? I mean we need to know how many candles to put on the cake, right?

Happy Bastille Day.

Let's see, were Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette executed in 1793? If so, that makes France under the "Republic" (including the reign of Napoleon Bonaparte) 212 years old.

Um, there's no cake - the peasants have eaten it all.

It's still one of the best 'country mottos': Liberty, Equality, Fraternity.
