I'm voting for yum-do, that as my yummy udon noodles
剣道 = Kendo 剣道 = Kumdo I wouldnt' say it's the same thing, but 95% of the concepts, excercises, equipments, clothing etc... are the same... And another reason of saying it not the same thing because people might get upset and we start the "who invented Kendo/kumdo war" |

Uhh, guys? You do know that they're the same, right? Yes there are subtle differences such as kumdo not having sonkyo and different names from kendo but they're still the same. You pit a person who has done kumdo against a kendoka and if you didn't know who did what, you would not be able to differentiate one from the other. Saying that you, "like kumdo because [you are] more used to it than kendo," is the same thing as saying that you like something because you're more used to it than the exact same thing. |
