but the reason i'm even on here is to just get some help i'm not trying to be mean but if someone is harrasing me or my friends i've got to stand up for them!
You got banned for a good reason - if Hamish and Alex decide to let you back in that's their call, not yours. Starting up a new username and flaunting it in their face is the epitome of disrespect.

i just got a PM from him saying basically that he was sorry. He was not trying to be disrespectful. just thought i'd throw that in there if anyone thinks he's not sorry or something.

obviously, Alex and Hamish have total authority on whether he gets to stay or not. in my opinion, i would give him a second chance as long as he follows the untold guidelines.
Its Mr Clark i have a problem with. not Kumdo-star.

i got to know how many years does it take to become a sensei and what is the ranking system like how do you tell what rank they are ?
All we have to do now is wait for all the deadly replies from all over the world. You are gonna regret that you have asked this question........

I admit there are some mean hostile sarcastic people around here, some of them just for jokes, but most of them, well i usually say thats how they talk to people, thats the type of tone they use, i doubt its suppose to be personal or anything, unless you make them angry. Wow i cant believe you have 63 posts a day... I guess theres just some people that like this board alot. what i learned is that you cant always please everyone, theres sometimes this just one person that will just hate you for no reason.. so i wouldnt take it so personally.
In kendo you do not use badges or belts like physical martial arts and such. Its all about skills and sparring and all that grading stuff i forgot... to be a sensei though in a dojo you need permission from your higher rank sensei i heard.

just as in any other martial art, the amount of time senseis needed to become one varies, it's pretty much like asking when do you get "really good" at kendo. And in kendo, the only way to tell someone's rank is watching his/her kendo,or just plain asking them. (first actual reply)

Yeah, I'm inhumanly sarcastic and aggressive from the moment I wake up. Now go bother someone else with ridiculous questions. Or buy some sweets. Or torture frogs, or what ever the hell you young whipper snappers do all day. I was born 40, and at the moment I'm trapped in a pseudo-25 year old body.

Did I mention that I think you should go away?

BTW did anyone make fun of his spelling yet?????
The question is not whether someone has . . . But whether or not anyone needs to.

Nothing wrong asking a question. What *normally* pisses me off:-

1) People treat the "creat new thread" button as if it were "google"
2) People treat KWF members as if we were google's fuzzy logic.
3) For an equal amount of dumb questions asked, there is an equal amount of idiots answering seriously (whether the info is of hachi-kyu quality or not). This is the very reason why KWF is a troll magnet.

Hey guy's

I'm fairly new on the forums but, it seems that a lot of people (I don't want to disrespect anyone!!) are very "short tempered"
ok I don't know who kumdo star is... but I still believe he had a question... that needed an answer...
I like a good laugh just like everybody else (or at least I hope so)
just give kumdo star an answer and that's it...
just my two cents...

Well now my answer is, if you want to know if someone is a sensei or not, it's not enough to know that he/she has a high grade. You know the current champion in my country is a 3d dan, but I call him a sensei, why?? becuase I believe he's worth it... He 's very good and everyone that is better than I am (and a nice person ) is a sensei to me, If you can learn from someone, than he's on a roll to become a sensei...

feel free to comment

...also... In your case (assuming that your age is really 15) you could (under federation guidelines) become Godan in 11 years time... i.e. when you are 26 years old... This assumes that you apply the minimum time between gradings and never fail... There is a heck of a lot of hard work there, but it could be done...

I think you should keep a difference between sempai and sensei. You can learn from anyone but that doesn't make someone a sensei. I think that once someone achieved godan or up they have earned the respect to be called sensei. This doesn't take away any achievement like becomming national champion thou because that's already a great thing to achieve IMO.

I know he has been dropping tons of posts on here and I understand people getting annoyed especially with the part of him not being part of a dojo, if I understood this correctly. I think if you're not willing to answer the question asked in a thread and in such not contribute to the thread it's better not to post on it.

To answer your question.

One of my sensei is godan and he's doing kendo for 27 years now if I'm not mistaken he's close to going for rokudan (sp?)

IMO it's better to develop your kendo then to race for rank.

Is it that you wanna learn kendo or is it that you wanna be called sensei?
