Default Kendo Gear in Tokyo
I'm going to Tokyo / Yokohama to visit the inlaws next week. Can anyone recommend any Kendo gear stores there (advise address and telephone if possible). Thanks.

I like Yokohama Bogu in Takashimacho, which is about a 10 minute walk from either Minato Mirai or Yokohama stations. The quality of gear seems comparable to the other small bogu shops I've seen in my time here and the people there have been helpful and very kind to me.

Sorry, I've lost the exact address and phone number.

Just got back from visiting the inlaws in Japan. I only had time to visit Yokohama Bogu. Picked up another shinai bag and some novelty tsubas. There was a custom metal do (engraved dragon with 24K gold inlays) there that cost $10,000US. Couldn't keep my eyes off it. Forgot to bring my camera.

Did you also catch the dog sized bogu and the picture of the store owner's dog wearing it near the door of the store? I thought that was awesome!

Yes. My wife loved that picture. I wanted to pick up some shinais, but was worried that the airlines will break it.
