Default Has anyone found my feet?
So, I had my second session on monday, and it was very heavy on the old footwork.
Halfway through, when I was in a reasonable amount of pain, I think my feet fell off, as I haven't found them yet.

Oh well, guess I'll just have to go back next week and try and find them!!

By the way, second session was even better than the first! Bring it on!

Hehehe, right on!

It gets easier though. Then harder. Then easier, then harder. Etc. etc., ad infinitum, I suspect, until maybe someday you actually get your footwork right - but I probably never will.

Glad you can enjoy it !

Sometimes there are only pieces left, and a little blood.

I used to lose my feet, but now it is the quads and inner thighs that are giving up/in. It is a variation in the gallery of funny walks associated with kendo.

I lost my mind once. Decided I was better off without it but sometimes I miss it.

I have been told not to let my mind wander. It's too small to be out by itself.......

My calves are what tighten up on me, but I also get split skin on the underside crease of my left big toe. I ended up just taping the thing, and looking as though I were a real "walking wounded" (although nobody was impressed), but it prevented it from splitting again. The skin is so thick there that it just splits from all of the pushing off I do during class.

Like LarsCW, I'm going to have to start all over again, too. I just had my left knee replaced this past Monday, so it's going to be a while before I can go out onto the dojo floor - at least another month, depending on how soon the surgeon releases me.

That was actually kendo advice in case you didn't get it. Not just a funny joke.
