I've done my first suburi this morning really carefully.
I was a lil nervous I would over do it so I quit after 20. I've done 10 straight and 10 like you do in kiri-kaeshi. I've used a regular shinai which has a really light feel, a sempai warned me not to us my koto shinai because it would put more tension at the end of each strike. It felt good to do some suburi again even thou the shoulder and arm were sensative they didn't hurt so I think I'm going the right way. |
