Hey all! My name is Rachel and I've been lurking on this forum for a while, and thought it was about time to introduce myself.
I started kendo last fall in a university class at the UW-Madison and haven't really been able to stop...I'm sure you know the feeling. I'm almost done with school (graduating in August) and am then moving to New Haven, CT for an internship. Anyone here live out that way? Also, the UW Kendo Dojo is hosting this year's MWKF summer camp, August 4-6. There is still time to sign up, so please come! Information here: http://anthropology.wisc.edu/kendo/Club/news.html I look forward to seeing you all online, and hope to meet many of you in August. --Rachel |

I did indeed...I was smart and drove on the way up so I could sleep on the way back!
Basically, I got my @ss handed to me in all the matches...went up against the same girl in both mudansha and women's division, and am glad to say that the second time went much better than the first! Didn't score any points, but had a lot of fun and learned a few things. |
