No, I can do that remotely from my PC.

However, I intend to string up some piano wire during my lunch break to get them bloody skateboarders that keep racing past my office...

He's suing for 10 years of car hire to go to another dry-cleaner? If he is a judge, can't he afford a car? Do you guys not pay judges at least minimum wage?
Sometimes they may be requested to pay for their nomination. You'd think there would be enough for a Nissan Versa.

-pictures guy at beginning of disney's aladdin-:
A diiiiiamand in thee ruff!

Is there another side to this we should know about this Ignatz? I mean surely you can see how people would think the guys a bit ridiculous for trying a suit (hehe) like that. And on the point of judicial immunity see the case of the Irish judge being charged with posession of child porn. hes squirmed away quite a few times now.

Besides, you're only a three bar poster, Scott is four: he outranks you.

But you are all law experts (even though some of you can't even spell lawyer).
I know in many reports of lawsuits the "facts" presented to the public are not quite complete, to emphasize the outrageousness. But I'm having trouble coming up with any sort of rationale for the existence of this suit. In Canada, this would be a small claims court thing.

67 million in a small claims court? Phew!

I get what you mean though.

This guy is not a real judge, he is an administrative law judge which, if you know the difference, puts an entirely different light upon who he is. Also, there is maybe one sentence on the real court trashing him. That is the real story, and when he gets slammed in the end there will be no story because the "news" is not really the "news", it is entertainment.

p.s. immunity only applies to actions within the course of one's official duties, not what you do in your private life.

If the Wiki article is accurate, then this guy should know enough law to know how much of an ass he's apparently being (given the few facts I've seen). And he will remain an ass despite whatever the real court decides. I hope the drycleaners counter-sue for a bunch.

You would be surprised at how stupid you can be and still pass the bar. My recollection is that the DC bar is where you go if you are a complete moron.

I'm sure sanctions will be imposed. I am very hard on asshole lawyers, they offend me but at the same time I have no use for amateur lawyers.
