Anyone got advice on doing youtube posts using apple? I've tried a few but they all look like crap on playback. I am using FCP and compressor.

Squeeze as much quality as you can into 100MB so that youtube's autocrap system doesn't destroy it too badly.

Tips for using an Apple to do anything:

Step 1.
1. Take sledgehammer to your device.
2. Toss in garbage.
3. Install Linux
4. Be happy!

and yet if you do a small one the autocrap system will make it erm autocrap instead of destroying the 100MB versions where's the justice?

I think you'll find it is platform independent. Regardless, ignore DL his advice comes from his sensei and even kenzan. Use the tools that you have, do not put anything in the bin or destroy on a whim. This is wasteful and ignorant to those less fortunate to afford a computer of any kind. Shame on you both.

Seriously guys; Youtube is the defining application of our generation. (at least this month). I wonder why; even though I upload a 100mb file it still looks like crap and takes forever to download on my 1mb line and other stuff streams seamlessley. Getting our brains around this new stuff is crucial to survival. Any more tips?

Jealously of course.
You see, I've spent all my money on Kendo, which leaves less for a $600 walkie-talkie.

Bolson, you're 45, the defining applications of our generation were VisiCalc and the 1976 Pontiac Trans Am (6.6l V8 and 4-spd, of course).

Is the visicalc the application that makes kids brush their teeth and to to bed? If so where can I download it? But more seriously, In my dotage;

I had forgotten;

I have reflected on the 70's for a few days and still have that damn disco inferno song on posiloop in my head. I stand corrected.

Anyway, how does the damn utube work?

Beats me. If they bought a mac, they could use all of the time they now spend recovering from pc crashes to practice kendo and they would be hachidan in no time flat.

...windos rox
As in "Windows Runs Only X minutes"? Where 1 < X < 35?

But then I only keep Windows for gaming (and Windows application packaging). The penguin runs my life now
