The United States did NOT invade Iran prior to confirming the validity of its initial intelligence reports regarding Iran's possession of nuclear weapons.

America invaded Iran?
When did this happen? ![]() For the record, I want to let it be known that I think the vast majority of the Iranian people are kind, friendly, educated and tolerant to other's people’s cultural and religious views, and the whole issue has been nothing more than a grand F.U.D. campaign against the Iranian people. |

I'm sorry you feel that way Kaoru. I actually feel it a bit complimentary of the U.S. in this one specific instance. In a time where the country is otherwise reknown for its penchant for the act first (on poor intel) and think later, this is a positive sign. Now, if folks elect to take this as an opportunity to rehash old mistakes, then I think that's a waste, but I posted it initially out of the kind of surprise one has when something unexpected happens. (or in this case, doesn't). If nothing else, it may eke out a little positive thinking in this brief moment for a nation that otherwise could use a bump in the foreign policy department.

here we go again...
anyway... when did Iran got invaded by america? probably, the response of president bush to (sic) "The administration called new attention to the threat posed by Iran earlier this year when President Bush had suggested in October that a nuclear-armed Iran could lead to “World War III" would be like this in fact I think that all this Irak war stuff started like this (respect for innocent people in Irak (who are not terrorists) suffering in a stupid war started by a couple dumb f*ckers) |

Just asking cos I don't know any Iranians (though I usually don't make it a first question when I meet someone so maybe I do but don't realise it..) |

Any person can be kind & friendly no matter who they are or where they are from. I'm glad to see there may be a change in the U.S' foreign policy. I think it's time the rational people of your country regained control. Now everyone remember to vote next election |

Kenzan - just curious, is this from personal experience with talking to and meeting Iranian people/friends or just what you've picked up? My impression is that Iran is a progressive country, and aside from certain cultural differences based on religious and historical philosophy, like any true sovereign nation, dislike being bullied by other nations. Iran's people aren't the enemy, and don't get me wrong, I love my own country and it's people, however if one really wants to know why the entire region is enraged at American foreign policy, just examine an unbiased history of the area from about 1850 until now. The real enemies to peace and prosperity become quite clear. As usual, it is never the people themselves who initiate these things. Lastly, by and large I have it on good authority that the Iranian people don't dislike Americans at all, in fact they are admired. It is the again largely America foreign policy that they dislike. |
